May 30th, 2000

We are still behind schedule, but things are still OK. We closed on the sale of the condo on Tuesday and the new owners were nice enough to let us stay here until the 9th.

The roof shingling was completed on Saturday, and we have our inspection on Wednesday. We had the septic system hydroseeded and failed that inspection. (We are looking into why.) The kitchen countertop was installed and looks incredible. The holes for the range unit and the sink still need to be cut, but we expect that to happen soon. The major work was the ceiling coverings for the great room, loft and master bedroom. This is tedious work because all the wood needs to be cut 20 feet up in the air. The tile work is completed except for the master bathroom shower. But, they did all the wood wall covering and trim work for the master bath. It looks great, very rustic. By the end of the week, the bedroom side of the house should be completed and ready for the electrician and plumbers to do their thing!

More next week.

Thanks for being part of our dream.
